More than 300 fans turned out yesterday to see Irish band The Thrills launch their new album at HMV Grafton Street in Dublin, writes Daniel McConnell.

The group were in Dublin as part of a two-day whistle-stop visit home.

The five-piece band from Blackrock, Co Dublin, played from their second album, Let's Bottle Bohemia, which went on general release yesterday.

Following the acoustic performance, the band signed copies of the album for fans, some of whom queued from early yesterday morning.

Band member Conor Deasy said they were still getting used to life on the road.

"We don't get home as much as we like, but it's hard when you've got an album being launched in America and in Europe at the same time."
