Bones found on a west Cork beach were being examined yesterday to determine whether they are human remains.

Bones found on a west Cork beach were being examined yesterday to determine whether they are human remains.

The bones, resembling a forearm and hand, were found last Thursday between Ardgroom village and Pal Ins Pier in the Beara Peninsula. Since then, gardai have dredged parts of Ardgroom Harbour but no further remains have been found.
