Glasgow - Almost 150,000 students' exam results are to be rechecked after the body responsible for issuing some incomplete and mistaken certificates met with Scottish Education Minister, Mr Sam Galbraith.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) agreed to the move and said checks on priority cases would be completed by Thursday. Students hoping to go to university or college face an anxious few days despite their cases being given priority.
