LONDON - The European newspaper yesterday failed in a High Court claim that The Economist was infringing its masthead trademark by using the title "European Voice" for a new weekly publication launched last October.

Mr Justice Rattee refused to grant an injunction forcing The Economist to change the name of its new journal.
