Basque separatist group Eta told a Basque newspaper today it had planted a bomb in Spain's Santander airport, police said.

Basque separatist group Eta told a Basque newspaper today it had planted a bomb in Spain's Santander airport, police said.

"We received a call from Gara ... saying they in turn had received a call in the name of Eta warning a bomb had been placed in Santander airport," a Basque police spokesman said.

A police officer at Santander said police were following up the alert but had no further details.
