The ESB in Cork is to invest £8 million to improve electricity supplies to the city and the south west.

The ESB in Cork is to invest £8 million to improve electricity supplies to the city and the south west.

The new project will result in a high voltage line running between Aghada power station in Cork Harbour and Rafeen, also in the harbour area. Planning permission is to be sought for the two year development, and the ESB has agreed compensation terms for farmers affected by the construction of the new line.
