Esat has unveiled a web-based site for conducting Internet-bidding events called Auction Services.
The system is fully integrated and allows for real-time bidding. Esat will supplies the software for a site upon where buyers, once accredited, can begin bidding. It also provides all customers with comprehensive training, technical and helpdesk support.
Buyers need an Internet connection and a standard Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer V4, V5.0 or V5.5 or Netscape Navigator 4.73
"Until now, the cost and complexities involved in implementing e-procurement prevented many companies from benefiting from online trading," Esat chief executive Richard Cooke said.
"However the ASP model behind Auction Services from Esat will allow companies of all sizes to experience the many advantages of e-procurement," he said.
It was announced last month Esat is to cut 200 of its 1,300 staff as part of a merger of Esat Business and Esat Fusion. The new entity, Esat Group, is expected to be in place by April 1st.
