“Summer” looks set to give way to autumn today with patches of drizzle and cooler temperatures expected across the country this weekend.
Today will be mostly dry with some sunny spells. Scattered showers will develop this afternoon and evening along western coasts, according to Met Eireann.
Temperatures will be cooler than yesterday with maximums of 14 to 19 degrees expected.
Tonight will be dry in most areas with clear spells (for watching the last of that meteor shower). There will be some scattered showers with with minimum temperatures of between 5 and 8 degrees.
It’ll be more of the same tomorrow: cool, bright, sunny spells, scattered showers and top temperatures of about 17 degrees.
Conditions are expected to remain the same for the remainder of the weekend looking dry and bright except for some scattered showers.
Monday will see things picking up a bit with temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees but the southwest and west coasts will be cloudier.
Tuesday will also be dry in most areas with max temperatures of about 20 degrees. Winds will generally be light in the forthcoming days.
According to Met Éireann, the dry weather should continue beyond Wednesday.
