With more than 17 years experience, Cristina Zenato is no stranger to encountering and interacting with sharks. Ms Zenato, nicknamed ‘the first lady of shark diving’, managed to upload this video of her removing a hook from a shark's mouth.

With more than 17 years of experience behind her, Italian-born Cristina Zenato is no stranger to encountering and interacting with sharks.

Ms Zenato, nicknamed ‘the first lady of shark diving’, also managed to upload this video of her removing a hook from a shark’s mouth, while more swim around her.

“In my daily work and dives with sharks I am always removing their hooks. In this particular case it was harder than usual. After putting the shark in tonic I had to pull it from deep inside,” she writes.
