Three vintage aircraft which have never flown together in an air display are due to take part in Bray air show on Sunday.
A 1936 Iolar from Aer Lingus and two Chipmunks will fly in retro Air Corps colours. They will mingle with modern planes in aerobatic formations at Ireland’s largest free air show which is expected to attract up to 85,000 spectators.
The entire three-hour display will be available live on the internet through AerTv.ie. People can listen to the flight controllers on Airband radio on 119.60.
The show, which begins at 3.30pm, features The Vampires of the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron, the Black Knights Defence Forces Parachute Team and aerobatic pilots from the Ravens club.
The Flying Dentist, former aerobatic champion Eddie Goggins, and the Flying Farmer, former RAF pilot Gerry Humphreys, are to team up as the Aer Dynamics.
Members of the the Defence Forces will perform a parachute jump.
