Power restored to thousands of homes in south Dublin

Fault in electricity supply network left Dublin 2 and 4 in the dark today

ESB crews were deployed to restore power after outages in the Dublin 2 and Dublin 4 areas today.

The ESB said power has been restored in south Dublin this evening after thousands of homes were left in the dark this afternoon.

A fault in the electricity supply network affected the Dublin 2 and Dublin 4 areas for several hours.

The ESB has apologised to customers for the outage.
