Man arrested over €264,000 cannabis seizure in Co Galway

Man in 30s in custody following planned search of home as part of Garda operation

Gardaí arrested a man in his late 30s following the seizure of cannabis plants worth €264,000 in Co Galway.

A house in Ballydonnellan in Corrandulla was searched at 8.30pm on Monday as part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs.

The Garda District Drugs Unit and local gardaí found cannabis plants during the search and arrested the man at the scene.

He is currently being detained at Galway Garda Station.
