An industrial fire at a furniture store in Tallaght village in south Dublin has been brought under control.

Several units of Dublin Fire Brigade have responded to tackle the blaze which is ongoing at the Tallaght Retail Centre.

Four units have responded from Tallaght, Dolphin’ s Barn and Donnybrook stations.

The Fire Brigade said it had received a number of phone calls from the public reporting smoke coming from a building.

On arrival they reported heavy smoke and obstacles hampering progress.

The ESB and garda traffic unit has also been requested to attend the scene.
