Extended services for Dublin commuters to begin tomorrow

Extra Dart, Commuter, Luas and Dublin Bus services to be laid on for Christmas period

Late night Dart, Luas and Dublin Bus services for the Christmas period will begin on Thursday night.

Late night Dart, Luas and Dublin Bus services for the Christmas period will begin on Thursday night.

This year, services are extended from two to three nights and will run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Late night southside Dart services will run to Greystones having previously operated to Bray only.

Dart and Commuter services will run after midnight on Thursdays (December 10th and 17th), Fridays (December 11th and 18th) and Saturdays (December 12th and 19th) as follows:

00.30hrs and 01.30 from Connolly serving all stations to Bray

00.30hrs and 01.30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth

00.40hrs and 01.40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk

00.20hrs and 01.50 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth.

The following late night services will operate on New Year’s Eve:

01.30hrs and 02.30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth

01.40hrs and 02.40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk

01.20hrs and 02.50 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth

Fares will be charged at normal Dart and Commuter rates.Weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are valid on late night services, so season ticket holders will be able to use the service at no extra charge.

All late night services will have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety.

Red and Green line Luas late night services will begin on Friday.

The Red line Luas schedule from the Point to Tallaght is as follows:

Night Luas on Friday December 11th at 1.00am, 2.00am and 3.00am

Night Luas on Saturday December 12th at 1.00am, 2.00am and 3.00am

Night Luas on Friday December 18th at 1.00am, 2.00am and 3.00am

Night Luas on Saturday December 19th at 1.00am, 2.00am and 3.00am

Night Luas on New Year’s Eve, Thursday December 31st at 1.00am, 2.00am and 3.00am.

The Luas Green Line Night Luas schedule from St. Stephen’s Green to Brides Glen is as follows:

A validated Leap Card or valid Night Luas ticket or a valid commuter ticket is required to use Night Luas which costs €4 with Leap Card.

A Night Luas ticket from a Luas ticket machine costs €5.

For regular Luas commuters Night Luas is covered by commuter tickets.

Dublin Bus Nitelink services will operate as per normal weekend service on Friday December 11th, Saturday December 12th and Thursday 17th, Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of December.

They will also operate as per normal weekend service Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd of December and on New Year’s Eve and Saturday January 2nd.

There is no Nitelink serivce on Thursday 24th, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th December.
