SANTA MONICA - A lawyer for the plaintiffs ended his closing argument in the O.J. Simpson civil trial yesterday with an emotional appeal to the jury to compensate a father for the loss of his slain son. Asking the jury to find Simpson responsible for the murder of Ronald Goldman, he said the victim's father should be compensated for the loss of his son.

Simpson was acquitted in criminal court of murdering his ex wife, Nicole Brown, and Goldman but could be forced to pay the victims' families millions of dollars if found responsible for the killings in the civil trial.
