A 78-year-old woman has been treated for shock after she was tied up and robbed by three men in her east Belfast home last night.

Police said the women was woken up as she was sleeping in her living room at Chesham Grove, in the Ravenhill area. There were three masked men standing over her.

The victim's ankles were tied together as the raiders ransacked her home before escaping. It is not known what was stolen.

The woman managed to free herself and raise the alarm.
