An elderly woman has died after she was struck by a car while walking in Co Offaly this afternoon.
The incident happened at around 12.20 at Ballycumber, Clara. Another woman was seriously injured and has been taken to Tullamore General Hospital.
The woman's death brings to six the number of people killed on the roads in the past 24 hours. The total number of people who have died on the State's roads so far this year stands at 66.
