Elderly woman is attacked at home

A 79-year-old woman whose legs and hands were bound by three masked raiders on Saturday night was said to be shocked but recovering from her ordeal at her home near Mallow, Co Cork. A small amount of money was taken. The raiders, wearing balaclavas, called at 9 p.m. to the woman's home. After tying her they ransacked the house. It took her over an hour to free herself and make her way to a neighbour's house.
