NUI Galway has awarded university accreditation as "workplace trainers" for 20 shop-floor operatives and supervisors through a Certificate in Training Education. As part of the Skillnets training networks programme to promote employees' training and learning needs, staff from within the network of companies were selected for intensive training to equip them to support and help their peers with learning in the workplace.
