Prospect is a new programme to help train academics to commercialise their research. Just launched by the Project Development Centre (PDC), a DIT initiative, it aims to evaluate the commercial potential of research projects and to help researchers develop the business skills needed to fully explore novel technology. PROSPECT will operate through workshops, counselling by the programme's management team, specific business counselling and by offering technical consultancy.
