What school did you attend?

Holy Trinity School, Donaghmede, Dublin, and Mount Temple, Dublin.

Had you any famous classmates? Kirsten Sheridan (Jim Sheridan's daughter)

Hidden talents at school? Songwriting - a lot of people had doubts I could read, let alone write songs!

Best subject? English. The plays The Plough and the Stars and King Lear - I devoured them!

Worst subject? Maths. I'm there trying to learn long division with a calculator in my bag (or out of my bag!)

Most inspirational teacher and why? Mr McKenzie at Mount Temple. He made music fun and was a good ol' skin as well.

Where did you go to college? PLC course at Ballyfermot Rock School.

What's your best memory of school? Running wild during breaks with a load of headbangers.

What's your worst memory of school? Being forced to learn things I knew I'd never use once I walked out the school gate.

What song most reminds you of your school days? Charly says by The Prodigy
