Dear Editor, I find it quite amazing, if not outrageous, that the new literature curriculum for the Leaving Certificate does not include any of the works of James Joyce.
Students from all over the world, many of them younger than Leaving Certificate students, are already enthusiastically studying the Joyce's texts. Those who chose the text should be called to account for having excluded our most distinguished and most famous Irish and European writer. With every good wish. Yours, MEP, European Parliament, 43 Molesworth St, Dublin 2.
