Low-cost airline easyJet today announced two new routes from Belfast International Airport to Rome and Berlin.
The routes are due to start in July 2005. Last month the company announced three new routes - to Geneva in Switzerland, Palma in Majorca, and Inverness in Scotland. It also operates flights to Amsterdam, Paris, Nice, Malaga and Alicante.
Belfast now accounts for 12 per cent of easyjet's total operation.
The managing director of Belfast International Airport, Mr Albert Harrison, said the addition of Berlin's Schoenefeld Airport and Rome's Ciampino Airport had enhanced air links between the province and the rest of Europe.
"We now have a network which offers real opportunity to develop the Northern Ireland economy."
