EasyJet picks Airbus planes over Boeing

No-frills airline easyJet said today it will buy 120 planes with an option for 120 more from Airbus SAS.

No-frills airline easyJet said today it will buy 120 planes with an option for 120 more from Airbus SAS.

It spurned current supplier Boeing in favour of the cheaper deal.

Airbus is a unit of European aerospace firm EADS, which has a 80 per cent stake, with Britain's BAE Systems owning the rest.
