DUBLIN - The East Timor Ireland Solidarity Campaign is to join protests throughout next week at the Palace of Westminster, London, against British arms sales to Indonesia, reports David Shanks.
The protests follow publication of a National Audit Office report which "raises the question of whether the Secretary of State's power is properly used when aid goes to East Timor through Indonesia".
The dissident British Labour MP, Ms Ann Clwyd, said yesterday the report showed "clear evidence" of a link between arms sales and aid.
