Disgraced Newcastle midfielder Lee Bowyer will start on the bench for tonight's UEFA Cup quarter final first leg with Sporting Lisbon.
The 28-year-old was fined £200,000 and cautioned for brawling with team-mate Kieron Dyer during Saturday's Premiership game with Aston Villa.
Dyer, whose appeal against his red card was rejected despite his club's support, is included in the starting line-up as expected.
