Two DUP Assembly members from Derry, Gregory Campbell and William Hay, were each fined £1,000 at the city's magistrate's court yesterday when they admitted taking part in an illegal procession in the Waterside area of the city last July. A former DUP alderman on Derry City Council, Bill Irwin, who also admitted taking part in the illegal procession on July 10th, was fined £100. The court was told that the illegal procession, which passed off peacefully, was organised by the Orange Order in support of the Drumcree standoff.
