A legal move preventing the Rev Ian Paisley's Democratic Unionist Party from taking futher disciplinary action against an Assembly member was today extended by another fortnight.
During a hearing at Belfast High Court, Mr Justice Weir was told by the DUP's lawyers that new evidence had come to light in relation to Newry and Armagh Assembly member Paul Berry and it could take two weeks to attain it.
Mr Berry was suspended by the DUP in July 2005 following newspaper claims that he met a male masseur at a Belfast hotel during the last British general election campaign.
Lawyers acting for the DUP and Mr Berry were ordered to spend the next fortnight obtaining the necessary material for the case. The hearing was adjourned until February 10th.
