Boxing: Bernard Dunne took just three rounds to stop Yersin Jailauov in front of at full house at The Point last night in the first defence of his European title.
Dunne was always on top, landing a barrage of blows in the opening round, to leave the Kazak fighter on the back foot from the outset.
Picking his shots at will, Dunne put the 29-year-old challenger down in the third round and while Jailauov survived the count to fight on, the referee stopped proceedings 1 minutes 57 seconds into the round as the Dubliner landed another flurry of unanswered blows.
