The political lobbyist Mr Frank Dunlop, whose evidence to the Flood tribunal on Wednesday has shaken the political system, has undergone cardiological tests and is expected to be fit to resume his evidence as planned on May 9th.
Mr Dunlop abruptly ended his evidence on Wednesday afternoon after giving tribunal lawyers a list of 15 councillors to whom he said he paid £112,000 in connection with their support for the rezoning of the west Dublin Quarryvale site.
Mr Dunlop left the witness stand at his request for a short break after his dramatic evidence.
A few minutes later tribunal lawyers announced that Mr Dunlop was unwell and unfit to continue giving evidence. The tribunal was adjourned.
It is understood that he was immediately examined by doctors and on Thursday underwent cardiological tests.
He is said to have no serious health problem and is expected to be fit to resume evidence on May 9th.
