A Dublin man was acquitted of murder but found guilty of the manslaughter of his girlfriend's brother by a Central Criminal Court jury last night.
Mark Kinsella (27), of Whitestown Crescent, Blanchardstown, had admitted killing Mr Thomas Fetherston (38), of Tower View, Trim, Co Meath, with a large kitchen knife during a house party in Corduff Avenue, Blanchardstown, Dublin, on November 22nd, 1998. He denied a charge of murder.
Last night a jury of 10 men and two women unanimously found him not guilty of murder, but found that he unlawfully killed Mr Fetherston.
Mr Justice Herbert put back sentencing to the new year, pending receipt of reports.
