A Central Criminal Court jury has acquitted a Dublin man of murder but found him guilty of the manslaughter of a man who was protecting his former girlfriend from him at her Stoneybatter home last year.

David Larkin (34) will be sentenced on January 14th for the manslaughter of Michael Murphy (39) in Ivar Street, Stoneybatter, and for assaulting his Ms Christine Hughes, on March 21st 1998.
