Mayo's run of fine league form came to a shuddering halt at Parnell Park last night as Dublin ran out comfortable winners over the Division One A pacesetters.

Goals from Tomás Quinn (2), Conal Keaney and Alan Brogan helped the Leinster champions to a 4-10 to 1-10 win over the visitors to end Mayo's five-game winning streak.

Quinn was particulary impressive, two goals inside the opening 18 minutes keeping the visitors on the back foot and the forward added a further two points to his personal tally.

Mayo's cause wasn't helped by the dismissal of substitute Aidan Higgins midway through the second half just 90 seconds after coming on, an off-the-ball earning him a straight red card.
