Drugs worth up to €3.5 million seized in south Dublin

Gardaí have seized drugs with an estimated street value of up to €3.5 million in south Dublin.

Officers from Crumlin Garda Station found cocaine, mixing agent, and other drug distribution paraphernalia this afternoon at a house in the Perrystown, Dublin 12.

They said the seizure was part of an "ongoing operation", according to the Garda Press Office.

It is believed that the find has broken up a significant cocaine production factory in the capital.

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is was taken to Crumlin Garda Station. He is being held under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act and can be held for up to seven days without charge.

The scene of the seizure has been preserved for technical examination.
