Drugs with an estimated street value of €225,000 have been seized in two separate incidents in Dublin and Cork.

Gardaí discovered one kilogram of cocaine in a car after it was stopped on the Clontarf Road shortly before 7pm last night.

Two men were arrested in connection with the seizure which had an estimated street value of €75,000.

The men, aged 30 and 19, are being held at Clontarf and Raheny garda stations.

Meanwhile gardaí in Cork seized 20 kilogram of cannabis resin with an estimated value of €150,000 after searching a house on Togher Road.

A man was arrested in connection with the incident but has subsequently been released pending further investigations.
