A 16-year-old died today when the stolen car he was driving crashed in north Belfast. The crash happened shortly after midnight in the Upper Crumlin Road, said the PSNI.
The teenager was behind the wheel of a stolen blue Peugeot 206 which collided with a red Audi. The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died a short time later.
It is understood the teenager was alone in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Meanwhile, a pensioner was in a serious condition in hospital following a crash on the Upper Malone Road in Belfast this morning.
The 77-year-old and a 22-year-old man were taken to hospital following a crash involving a Ford Fiesta and a Toyota Corolla.
The elderly man suffered serious but not life threatening injuries, said a police spokesman.
