The Director of Public Prosecutions has requested that the report of a Bus Eireann inquiry into a bus crash in which five schoolgirls died be withheld, it has emerged.

The deadline for publication of the report into the crash was tomorrow morning.

Bus Eireann received the request from the DPP this afternoon.

The crash, which killed the five girls and injured many more, took place near Kentstown, Co Meath on May 2rd.
