Donegal 1-08 Kerry 1-07:   Donegal needed an injury-time goal to secure a last gasp victory over Kerry in their Allianz Division One league opener in Ballybofey last night.

An injury-time free from Colm McFadden came off Eoin Brosnan and found the Kerry net to hand victory to Brian McIver's side in dramatic late fashion.

It was a low scoring first half as both sides went into the break on three points apiece. Kerry started the brighter of the two in the second period and forged four ahead with the help of a Kieren Donaghy goal he punched into the net.

Donegal dug deep and forced their way back into the contest and eventually leveled through scores from Ryan Bradley, Karl Lacey, McFadden and Kevin McMenamin.

The final dramatics ensured a famous win for the reigning league champions over the current All-Ireland winners.
