Donald Campbell is laid to rest

London - Speed hero Donald Campbell was finally laid to rest yesterday near the lake which claimed his life 34 years ago.

London - Speed hero Donald Campbell was finally laid to rest yesterday near the lake which claimed his life 34 years ago.

Campbell (46) was killed in January, 1967, while trying to beat his own water speed record of 276 mph on Coniston Water.

Last December, the boat was located and it was finally dragged from its underwater grave in March.

Two months later, Campbell's remains were discovered.
