A doctor told the Central Criminal Court that her findings after examining a teenage milkman were consistent with his allegations of rape. The youth has already told the jury he was buggered in a city centre flat by a man he met some hours earlier with another friend in a Donnybrook pub.

Dr Antonia Lehane, of the Rotunda Sexual Assaults Unit, said she found some dilation of the alleged victim's anus and redness in that area. This was consistent with penetration having taken place sometime in the previous six hours.

Garda Patrick Normile told the court that when he first arrested the accused at his flat he replied he wished to have his good name cleared.

The 46 year old accused denies he raped the teenager by buggery on March 10th, 1994. The hearing continues.
