A heavy garda presence ensured disturbances were kept to a minimum at Witnness. With some 200 officers on duty over the weekend, only four public order arrests were made.

All were for drunken behaviour.

Four hundred seizures of illegal substancess were recorded, mostly of cannabis and ecstasy. Over 30,000 people stayed at the festival campsite but no trouble was reported. Gardaí said their traffic management plan worked perfectly with shuttle buses reaching the Punchestown from Dublin city centre in 50 minutes.
