Police in Derry have begun a second murder investigation following the discovery of a second man's body in the Waterside district of the city this morning.

The body was discovered at 8.15 a.m. in a flat at Campion Court, and detectives have arrested three men for questioning about the killing.

Earlier, the body of a man (39) was found in a house in the Ardfoyle area at around 3 a.m.

It is believed the dead man, who lived alone, had moved into the area only recently.

The PSNI has arrested two men who are being questioned about the murder.
