A prosecutor has been shot dead by a defendant during a trial in a German court.
The victim was seriously injured in the shooting during the trial at the Dachau administrative court and rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The Bavarian justice ministry said three shots wounded the prosecutor in the shoulder, stomach and arm.
The shooter was overpowered and taken into custody.
