Defence Minister killed in aircrash

Bujumbura - Burundi Defence Minister Col Firmin Sinzoyiheba was killed yesterday when his helicopter crashed in poor weather. Col Sinzoyiheba, one of the most powerful figures in the Tutsi-dominated military government, and three others were killed when the helicopter lost visibility and crashed in the Gihanga Hills, about 85km south-east of the capital Bujumbura.
