The Dublin actor Shay Gorman has died in London, aged 76.
Mr Gorman, formerly of Upper Dorset Street, started his stage career in the Gate Theatre and acted in many productions in Ireland and Britain. He toured the United States in the 1940s with the Dublin Players and subsequently travelled to Australia with the Old Vic Company. Most recently, he portrayed the role of a coalman in the film version of Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes.
