Dark presence: controversial sawmills

In addition to the troubled spirit of the Elemental, another dark presence haunts Leap Castle

In addition to the troubled spirit of the Elemental, another dark presence haunts Leap Castle. It is that of the controversial Standish Saw Mills next door.

Built without planning permission, it has been in operation for four years. Despite many objections to its impact on the immediate environment, the firm applied for retention, which though refused, has now been granted under appeal to An Bord Pleanála. Many ghosts are said to reside contentedly in Leap Castle. But it is not known how they feel about the proximity of the saw mills.
