COPENHAGEN - Denmark's minority government(has survived a row over a visit by Salman Rushdie that nearly brought it down. Left wing parties which would have held the casting votes in a threatened vote of confidence declared the Prime Minister, Mr Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, to be clumsy and inept but not to be pursuing a hidden political agenda as they had feared.
