Copenhagen - A majority of Danes support the Amsterdam Treaty on European Union which will be put to a referendum here next year, according to a poll published yesterday. Forty-four per cent of Danes support the treaty while 31 per cent are against and 25 per cent are undecided.

A poll suggests that most Swiss people support speedy accession to the EU. The poll published yesterday signalling a dramatic shift from five years ago when a motion for membership was rejected.
