The first Dail na nOg will convene in the Mansion House, Dublin, on Wednesday, the Minister of State for Children, Ms Mary Hanafin, said yesterday.
Some 250 children aged seven to 17 will take part and will discuss such issues as play, health and the environment. Dail na nOg will be chaired on the day by Laura Murphy (16), from Galway, and Jeffrey Rockett (14), from Limerick. It has been established as part of the National Children's Strategy.
