Customs officers at Dublin Airport yesterday seized 20 kilos of cannabis, valued at about £200,000.

The drugs were found in a suitcase abandoned on one of the baggage carousels. A spokesman for the Revenue Commissioners said the suitcase had arrived on a flight from Spain.

He added that customs officers could not say why the suitcase was abandoned but surmised that the owner may have suspected he was being watched.
